Please, correct me if I am wrong (most likely) but, did all Minis up to the 80s models have a starter motor with 9 teeth? At least that's how I see it on many parts vendors. I needed to replace the one on my 78 model and found that it has 10 teeth. Will I damage the flywheel if I fit a starter motor with 9 teeth? Can anybody clarify this for me?
thanks in advance,
Abel
