Being a complete noobee about quick release steering wheels, I have narrowed my search for a slim release by NRG. I discovered that the quick release adds length to the steering column. This NRG adds about 1 1/4 inches. From my research so far, I remove my original rover steering wheel which has the hub built in, add a steering wheel hub with the correct splines, attach the quick release and then add a flat or a low dish steering wheel. If anyone knows of a slimmer quick release than 1 1/4 inch please chime in.

Thanks TK, MED. only has a weld type hub in stock. KAD nada.
I'm educating myself with your help. I see Youtube "ChrisFix" has an excellent video on installing one of these. Did not realize that this attaches to your hub. I'm thinking the MED eliminates your hub.

I put a removeable, and quick release wheel on my Bugeye. Works great, after modifying the steering column in order to attach the hub section that holds the wheel. Got it at Summit Racing.

I got the cheaper one for about $70 - has nice long splines and a large bit to release
