If you are fortunate enough to be using one of C-AHT345 aluminum cylinder heads then you will know that one of the design features of the head it that by using these special smaller diameter spark plugs the internal water jacket flows completely around the plug. This is a tremendous benefit in keeping the combustion under control while maintaining engine temperatures. The heat range of this plug is ideal for mild competition with reasonable compression engines. Resistor plug, 12mm, 3/4"reach, 11/16" or 18mm hex head, .030 " core nose projection, copper core racing plug. The RA4HC is the coldest plug of the group- full race appliations would mandate this plug.
Champions traditional plugs are all constructed with a corrosion resistant zinc plated shell. Resistor plugs have the most durable high voltage semiconductor while marine application use a special wire wound Q-type suppressor (CDI%20resistor')">CDI resistor) when noted. Copper core ground or center electrode (when noted). Conforms to all I.S.O and S.A.E standards as specified by all manufacturers.
The heat range numbers used by spark plug manufacturers are not universal, by that we mean, a 10 heat range in Champion is not the same as a 10 heat range in NGK nor the same in Autolite. Some manufacturers numbering systems are opposite the other, for domestic manufacturers (Champion, Autolite, Splitfire), the higher the number, the hotter the plug. For Japanese manufacturers (NGK, Denso), the higher the number, the colder the plug.
