Question:
My 1974 MG midget mk3 has the typical Weber carb conversion on it and this pumps fuel flow and pressure spec meet what the carb is looking for, my question is can the specs be relied on for the fuel pressure or would it be recommended that I purchase a fuel pressure regulator as well?
Answer:
Generally, most fuel pumps for the Spridgets, Minis, and Morris Minors all flow around 2.5-3 psi. In our experience that's usually fine for most set ups including Webers. The only time it may not be is a really hot, fuel thirsty race engine where a Facet pump that flows higher would be more appropriate. A regulator is likely not necessary.
