The rear brakes on all Classic Minis have a simple method of adjustment. A screw with four flattened nose points is threaded into the backplate. As this screw is turned, a pair of wedges is forced against the brake shoes, expanding them against the drum. This works well for awhile. But due to wear, age and abuse, the nose of the screw becomes severely grooved, making adjustment very difficult. Add to this the corresponding wear on the wedges, and the no-longer-square head of the screw that the wrench won't grip! The best solution: replace all the parts with this kit. Includes two wedges and a new screw, one kit per wheel. Also used on Sprite and Midget rear drums from Chassis numbers HAN6 20792 & GAN1 13555 on.
