The whole reason i did the overhaul was because of this sound...the rpms don't seem to change the sound
i grabbed a mechanics stethoscope and it seems that it might be the alternator ...will swap that out and update as soon as the part comes in

i would hope nothing got in the charger ...i was pretty critical with it

I don't have a Bini and don't know anything about them. But you did not mention anything about your alternator. Put a hose to the part and the other end to your ear. Do you only hear the noise when moving or only when the bonnet is up. I bought a new alternator from a guy who dealt with starters and alternators, installed it and heard this light grinding sound. The guy says, sounds normal. I Should have taken it out and returned it.  It had a bad bearing in the alternator which you could hear inside the cabin. It lasted 3 years.

I have no idea what causes those terrible sounds.
You post is a bit confusing: you say "it was making this sound prior to a serious service".

1. After changing all those parts, is it STILL making the noise?

2. Does the sound change with increase in engine rpm?

3. Is it possible something got into the supercharger, or that the supercharger bearings are worn?

.

"Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."
