That MINI looks in good shape.  Seems like a great price.
Only negatives I see are the colour and the Cooper badging on the rear.....not cool

"WET COOPER", Partsguy1 (Terry Snell of Penticton BC ) - Could you send the money for the unpaid parts and court fees.
Ordered so by a Judge

Biggest regret I have (regarding cars) is selling my 1965 Porsche 356, the last year made. Mine was unique as it had a factory 12 volt system. Still kicking myself for letting her go!

Quote:Nice Porsche! I've had a couple of 356's and a Carrera 2. Getting ready to buy another, considering my age will probably be my last one.....

I'm not quite sure if my mechanical skills (or lack thereof) will be sufficient to tackle such a project :D.

A friend of mine in Japan has a neighbor in his village selling a Mini.  It's a 1988 998cc car.  He's owned it for 20 years. 8 years ago, he did a glass-out respray (minus engine bay) and it's been sitting ever since.  Since I've inquired, he's been trying to get the car running and getting rid of the old gas throughout the system.  It's got a bunch of mods, including twin carbs and adjustable suspension and well as some massive flares with way-too-narrow wheels (so I'll need to change the wheels or ditch the flares for some smaller ones).

One big issue that the seller confessed to is a 3-to-2 grind on downshift, necessitating double-clutching.  Given this, what are the forum's thoughts on a price of about $7,700 for this thing (not including shipping)?  Too high?  Too low?  Just right?
