You don't need to put it under or outside, stick it under the back seat. I use these all the time when folk go on extended test drives in my dealership and they work fine.

How big is the magnet?? Did you crawl under the car with the magnet??? If you have done that maybe under the bonnet.

I have a GPS tracker I want to put on my 2015 Cooper S, but I can't find metal on the underside of the car. Where is the easiest place to put the magnet receiver?
