A little penetrating oil and a properly applied pry bar to push the cone forward rather than side to side worked.

Maybe you need to figure out why it is stuck in the subframe. The rubber cones are usually stuck to the trumpets and come away from the frame easily. Getting them off the trumpet is usually the hard part. The back of the cone should just but up against a flat surface, like the front ones do.
My guess it might be impacted dirt. Poke around with a screwdriver or wire to see if any dirt comes out. If so, try pressure-washing.
If they are very old cones and are severely squashed, they may have spread to the point of sticking.

Once the trumpet/Hi-Lo is removed, what is the best way Ninja secret method to remove the cone from the rear subframe?  BFH and lots of penetrating oil mixed wit patience?
