The early 997s had the GBP101 style, used a spring clip to hold the pads.  Late 997s used the 998 Cooper calipers and GBP102 pads.

It has been normal to machine  997 calipers to accept 998 pads for improved braking. I believe I have 997 and 998 pads. It may be possible to shape 998 pads to make 997 pads. I'll have to take a look. Steve (CTR)

Can't seem to find the old 997 Cooper pads anywhere. Part number BD20. Does anyone know of a good source for these? MiniMania hasn't carried them for 13 years, and I'm in need of set.
