Assuming you have the Cooper S model - intake, exhaust, and ecu tune are probably the most common first upgrades to the MINI.
However for the biggest bang for the $$, it's hard to beat a larger turbo - but that requires other upgrades to go with it.

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum and Just bought an 2011 R55 with 50k miles. Is there a thread that goes over recommended add ons?
l.e catch can, etc..?
I noticed after putting in 800miles, I burned almost a liter of oil. (I also have a leak from my turbo oil line which I plan to fix, that may have added to the loss.)
Is there anything else you guys have added to get the most miles out of your Mini?
