Keep up the maintenance and change the oil more often than the factory recommendation.

I purchased my first Mini, a used 2012 Mini Cooper Coupe JCW last month from a local BMW dealer. My wife and I retired from our motorcycling careers in January after many years of riding / touring throughout the US and Canada. I miss the motorcycling experience that combines speed, balance, shifting and the sensation of motion. Never thought I would find a replacement for motorcycling. After owning the JCW Coupe for a month, I must say driving the car comes reasonably close to ridng an Italian motorcycle...boy do I feel connected to the road! I will be curious how the Mini holds up in the years to come. I can't imagine it would be any worse than owning a Ducati...LOL
