You mentioned the front control arms were replaced - did you replace the rear bushings for the front lower control arms?

Check the tyres closely for humps or bubbles... What if? Inner treads etc.

Since you have changed the ride height and not yet got it re-aligned (If I read you right), you may be getting shimmy, where the steering tells a wheel to go in one direction and the grip of the tire is trying to take it in another direction. The tire pulls its way until it slips a tiny bit, where upon the steering takes the upper hand,,, and it repeats. It would be more noticeable under acceleration as the tire tread si being stressed more.
Get the alignment done first - they will tell you if there's anything needing repair.

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and looking for some help with an aggravating issue. I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S that has a shaking problem when i'm on the gas. Here is a list of the items I have replaced and i'm running out of options.
- All items new and replaced: Wheel bearings, ball joints, rotors/brakes, control arms, clutch, transmittion/engine mounts/steering links, sway bar, driver side half shaft (not the passenger side), struts are still original, rims, tires, all sensors, etc. (Allot of stuff)
- Here's what happens: Driving normal there is no shaking on/off the throttle (no load). When I start to put a load on the car (accelerate), I get a slight shaking in the front left side that gets worse as the rpms/speed goes up. The tires are tracking right and the car does not pull to any side. The only thing I have left to do is an alignment and replace the passenger side half shaft/couple bearing. I even check the computer and have no codes at all.
The car is a 2005 R53 Mini Cooper S with a 6-speed and 101k miles. Other than this issue the car runs excellent and has lots of power.
One last thing: The previous owner has coil overs on the car so it was way to low for the road. I took the front coil overs off and put the stock struts back on. The rear still has the coil overs on it, but I raised the height.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because i'm out of idea's.
