MINIs come from the factory with 2 different suspension options: Sport and Standard. The sport option is lower.
This looks like the shop used a cheaper "universal" strut made for the standard suspension MINI. We don't sell the quick struts because although they are cheaper, the hidden cost is that they are usually poor quality and not an exact match for the originals.
I would check with the shop and see if they have an answer for what option suspension they were replacing parts for.

Hi,
welcome to this forum. I assume that you are referring to modern Minis, right? With classic ones, we do not have the luxury of taking them to even most shops (as it is too foreign a car for them).
Sorry, I cannot answer your question or offer any advise,
cheers,
Abel

Our mini had a broken coil spring in the back passenger side. We took it to our local garage where we have had good service with this car. They did the whole rear and put in aftermarket quick struts that they claimed were really high quality. When we got home, to us it seems that the rear is a little too high and it looks odd to us. I was wondering if you guys could take a look and give a your opinion.
