Now it all makes sense to me.  I have a Tinny and painted and seam sealed the window frames before installing glass.  It is possible to get them in from the inside by putting the bottom in first.  The key was keeping the paper on the top channel adhesive until after it was installed, then pulling the paper off the top channel adhesive.  After that, the ends could be installed.  Next time I’ll do it the way you’re describing and mask the windows for painting!  Thanks for the info guys - Eric

If you are trying this on a woodie wagon, then you put the lower wood strip on after the glass is in place. If it's a steel sided wagon, then the metal framework goes on after the glass is in. Either way, the top weatherstrip goes in first and you put the glass in the lower strip and insert it into the upper weatherstrip as you slide the lower one in place. Just like installing door glass on a MKI door. Be careful not to drop the glass while putting it in.

Thanks for the response.  My bottom channel is captured on the bottom and both inboard and outboard sides, whereas the top only on the top and outboard side.  Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see how the bottom can go in second.

Install the top channel first then install the bottom channel with the glass at the same time.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Hello - I’ve installed the lower rigid channel first, then I’ve tried to install the top channel with the glass installed.  It seems like mission impossible due to the adhesive backing on the channel.  Does anyone have any pointers to install the rear side glass on the wagon?  Thanks
