I doubt it will change the value of your car. If the silver roof and stripes are in good condition, and you like them, leave it alone. Let the next owner deal with a color change if they desire. If you have too much spare money, send it to me.

The choice is yours but imo it seems everyone has a red Mini with a white roof they are a very popular color choice but not that many have a red Mini with a silver roof.
I also think OEW sometimes looks dirty to me when next to certain colors whereas bright white looks clean and crisp, again just my opinion as everyone"s eyes see things differently.

If it were mine i would stay with a silver roof.

Thanks for your reply,

i looked at the vin number and it by research the code says it should be solar red with antique white roof.

It’s been changed to silver so is it beat to change it back to white??

thanks

There should be a paint code on your vin plate.
AFAIK they made wire a few different colors with silver roofs the most popular ones were red and green.

Some of the very late cars came with silver roofs and other parts.

Hi on my 1999 rover mini sports pack it has a silver roof with silver wing mirrors and bonnet stripes.
my question is am I best to leave it as it is or do I get it changed back to what the original colour should be which is I think antique white??

I want to keep the car as original as possible and i'm also unsure why in its past ownership it has been changed to silver?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

many thanks

Shaun
