Just returned from the hardware store.
Only sizes that fit are 11/32” and 9mm.
I bought an 11/32” deep socket and a 1/4” to 3/8” adapter.
The floats will be reassembled this weekend.

I think they may be Whitworth, either 3/16" or 1/4" WW from memory.

and the ones I just tried removing when a 5/16" didn't work a 9 mm did.

Smallest socket I had was 3/8” which did not fit the space.
just happened to find an 11/32” hollow nut driver which did the trick.
I will look for the 5/16” socket.
I also put the part in the freezer.  I have better luck with freezing than heating.
onto the carb rebuild.

5/16" socket with a 1/4" extension and ratchet.

What is best way to remove the float needle seat?
There is limited space for a wrench?
I tried a needle nose plier but it did not budge.
I did not want to break anything so I am looking for suggestions.
