Thanks. I am most likely going to wind up with a clubman due to headroom. I’m ok trying a few mods but girlfriend has talked me out of it. I guess it doesn’t make sense to hope I can make it work. Too expensive a car to butcher it up right off the bat

It would seem the simplest way is to have the seat base cover removed, cut down the foam, and reassemble. An upholstery shop should be able to do it. There may also be room to cut down and reweld the mounts, but could get complicated depending. Just the rear mounts would get you the headroom.

I am 6ft5in and need to lower seat about 5/8 inch to keep head off roof of car. Ideas? I want to buy a 2020 hardtop 2 door S.
