Over the last 52 years I have been jacking there with only one failure. That was on my 1275 Cooper S autocross car.
I put in a FTD my first run and was trying to see if I could lower my time. Running on a NASCAR 4/10 paved oval, I
dropped the left front off the inner edge of track and the tab broke the spot welds but the front valance bolt kept it
in place although caster was moving all over. Not sure my first time would hold we vise gripped the tab in place and
ran again.

When I built a replacement sub I welded gussets at 90 degrees to each other to secure the tab. I have done this on all
vintage subs I have built. Steve (CTR)

Continued jacking under there will eventually weaken the trivial factory spot welds.  We always jacked there.  My avatar is the car at Sebring after I installed the KAD 6-pots and the extra braking power was finally enough to rip the tie rod bracket clean off the sub.  After getting flat towed back (that was fun) the car definitely sat nice and low so I took that pic.   Yes, pull the rod, bash the bracket straight, then drill some holes though the bracket into the sub and rosette weld them.

I have been jacking classic minis at that point for for 52 years. I suspect that damage is from an impact.
The picture does not show enough to tell if rust may be an issue. Yes, you should be able to heat and
bend. I'd consider replacing the complete sub frame. Steve (CTR)

I was initially confused myself. It's got a van vin number but it it's a wagon. It turns out that since you could no longer get a wagon unless it was a clubman then that people who wanted round nose mini wagon would buy a van and convert it. This appears to be what's going on with my wagon .

I've always thought 'wagon production ended in '68. Is yours a Clubman?

Heat it up with an oxy acetalyne torch and a careful 2 pound hammer, should straighten that right out.

I have a 1971 van/Wagon it appears someone jacked it up using the tie rod mount as a jack point and bent the mount. Does anyone know of a way to fix this to fix it short of going to a frame shop?
