In some hardware stores, they have a device that can detect the signal from you keyfob, and give you an indication of the signal strength. Usually located where the CR2032 batteries these keyfobs use.

My recommendation is to test the battery voltage in the dead key to make sure it is holding a charge.

The original key that came with the car still works fine without issue.

I'm still able to start and stop the car using that key fob but the 3 buttons on it still won't work. I tried all methods online to re-program those buttons or reset with no luck and i even tried to disconnect the car battery and re-connect with no luck either.
There's some solutions online but none of them worked for me since my car has the start/stop button.
Any idea how to fix that issue?
Does the other key still work? I wonder if maybe the battery in the key from the locksmith failed - they are supposed to be re-chargeable batteries....
