Might be enough to do a switch plate

Hey Ian,

I completely agree. I'm assuming it was done by a previous owner, they did a really good job and it looked like a factory finish. I think I will go with what the books say and finish the plate in cumulus grey. Thank you for the reply!

I would never say never about anything concerning Minis .... However.....

A rogue production worker doesn't really seem feasible.

But a rogue PO in the last 66 years???  Entirely probable..

Cheers, Ian

I need to tap into the years of expertise of the board. Has anyone ever seen a MkI Cooper that had the switch plate on the dash that was covered in vinyl from the factory? I know in all the books they say it was always cumulus grey, just wondering as my car has the switch plate covered in the same black vinyl that the dash had. Wasn't sure if there was a rogue assembly line worker who thought the switch plate looked better with the vinyl.

I did find the paint code of GR-29 for Cumulus Grey.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
