Try this:

36 11 523Removing and installing/replacing an RDC trigger transmitter (rear)

With ACEA/CO2 equipment specification or aerodynamic kit, remove rear underbody panelling

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Gently press retaining tabs (3) apart in direction of arrow and remove RDC transmitter (2).

I have this same issue on 2010 JCW R55. My long time Mini mechanic is stumped as well. I can easily find it on my 2009 JCW R55. Can anyone help ? This seems to be a standing issue with people, but no real answer to be found on the internet.

In the rear trunk area, on the drivers side (left) trunk side panel, there is a vent grille - the RDC TPMS Control Module should be just inside this vent grille.....
