Worn timing belt or chain
Defective camshaft variable timing solenoid
Defective variable valve timing actuator
Engine oil level is too low
Blown fuse or fuse-able link (if applicable)
Misalignment of timing components
Corroded or damaged connector
Faulty or damaged wiring
Faulty ECU
Are you using 5w-30 engine oil? Using the wrong viscosity oil can sometimes cause issues with the VANOS / VVT system since it uses oil pressure.

P2091 - VANOS exhaust side solenoid valve, control activation: Short circuit to positive
Another reason to try the back side VVT solenoid - can't guarantee this will fix the problem, but it is something I would try...

I did change both Camshaft position sensors and i also changed the front VVT Solenoid (the one that easy to replace next to oil stick but the error light still on and i'm not sure what to do?
The car runs fine but i can hear the engine revving especially when going up or down hills and when idling i can tell the engine speed is going up and down.
What could it be? Do i need to change the second VVT Solenoid in the back of the engine? or do i have to go to a mechanic?
Any help would be greatly appreciated folks.
