I will reserve my comments on the topic of Minis, in this case showing how lame and wrong a LH drive Mini is.  Others that cannot accept this fact can only whine and try and muster an insult, which further validates how lame LH drive Minis are.

Agree with what Malsal says.
I'm amazed the reserve was higher than that actually
I didn't realise the engine build was that old.  Who knows how many miles are on it also.... ( it's not like our odometers are ever unhooked/not working...lol )

I thought this RHD twit was gone........

With the Swiftune engine being at least 17 or 18 years old although it having low miles i would think the value of it is diminished.
On top of that it is a fiberglass Mini replica not the real thing.
Considering all the facts i think it was a decent bid.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Assuming it has a real Swiftune engine (in reasonable condition) then, yes, $17K might be a bit underdone...

However, I guess one factor that may have influenced what people were willing to pay would be concerns over how the registration authorities would view an AA title attached to car that is obviously nothing of the kind....

Over here, the dealer would be sailing into very dangerous legal waters in describing it as a "79 Mk IV Austin Mini.."  which it is also obviously not....

But it does look like a nice car...

Cheers, Ian
