Sounds like global warming went missing this summer in lots of places....IMM was one...the IOM TT and Manx GP had terrible cold, rainy, foggy weather. We had the coldest summer here in BC, Canada, since I moved here in 1989. I had the A/C in our house on most of last summer...so far only about a total of three hours this year. Didn't even feel motivated to fire up the AC in our Tartan at any time yet.  Mind you, as somebody who lived in St Johns Nfld for 13 years....I NEVER complain about the BC weather any more.

If it's not Scottish....it's crap! (Cry of the Mini Tartan Owners' Clan)

IMM looked like Brits getting pissed and singing, not my idea of fun, regardless the weather. I'm not sure I agree with the comment we should be thanking BMW. AFAIC BMW has done nothing but threaten businesses using the Mini name and slurp up Mini heritage for their fatty alternative.

Just wear them on the plane ?

Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

Having paid attention to weather and the IMM Facebook page, I DID buy a pair of "wellies" a couple of days before driving to Bristol from Salisbury.  Bought the cheapest I could find - about $21 - and they worked great.  But there was no way those honking chunks of rubber were going to fit in my baggage for the flight home, so I left them at one of the post-IMM hotels I was at.
