Yes, thank you!  I can't seem to upload images on here.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong. 

Anyway, thanks again.  That is exactly it.  The engine came from Canada so it makes sense why it has it on there.

Is this (see picture(s)) what you are referring to?  If so it is a carb heater for cold weather.  Power from a power source.  As you say '60 is the car positive ground?  If so a negative power source.

Hi,

There is an electrical/grounding/switch part that came on a 1960 850 engine I obtained.  Does anyone know what it is? 

One part goes over the carb cover and looks to be a grounding strap and the other part seems integral the spacer bracket.  Where does the wire come from to connect to it?
