No, certainly not, but registered as a 1967 moke in NC
No one is trying to “pull a fast one” here
it was always represented as a Choke when l owned it

Yes, it is a true 1967 model registered in NC originally, it has been subsequently registered in NY State and now Louisiana as a 1967 Moke
It is a Chinese knock off with a 1275cc engine and all Chinese parts have been replaced with genuine Brit parts
great custom seats, seat belts, tinted windshield and a rod change shifter, 13 inch tires, paint is excellent, painted Clemson orange
It drove great

Yup. I have that one, too. It's going to go up on fleabay some time this year. Probably July or Aug once I go through the 1275 that's in it and photograph all the other original bits that will go with it. My last race with it was this past Feb. Moving on. Life changes, etc etc. I did what I could to keep it restorable while building it. Wish I hadn't sold off the original metal seats. cest la vie.

I turned down a moke on the island Majorca, Spain. It was an 1966 BRG. Wasn't worth shipping to the states.

Well, here ya go: a 1965 Austin Mk1 Moke located in Wales, near M-Parts who could do the restoration for you , or ship it home and do it yourself! 2820 UK pounds. Lots of work...….. but may be all there...….
