Thank you Doug! This is a perfect solution. I have ordered the Techno Versions Meter Match. This will hide in my dash easily out of sight. I will post how this works after I install. I wish I knew about these before. I have spent too much time searching for the correct sender.

Welcome,

I cannot help you with your quest for an original sender but I have a suggestion.  Since this thread was originally started 5 years ago some new products have been introduced.

Google for "Gauge Wizard" and "Gauge Matcher".  You will find the links below.  All of these products will allow you to match almost any gauge to any sender... including the senders you already own.  It's a DIY solution at a reasonable price.

I am searching for a Jaeger Italia temperature sender. This is for a 74 innocenti mini 1300 export. I have searched everywhere and come up empty. Does any one have one or know where to look.

I can take the one off a 1300 Inno lump that's in the basement. Used and unsure of condition but it's free.

Ill try to look on ebay Italy again to see if I can find one then.  The sender is for a veglia gauge.  I only hope they have the thread size in listing because veglia made a ton of gauges.

This question was posted on the Inno group on FB (don't know if it's you do to incomlete profile), may or may not be of help....

Q. Where can I buy a water temp sensor for a Mini 1300 Export?
I assume they are different than regular Mini?

A. Yes they are different. The british type will give you a high reading.
You need a Jaeger or Veglia temp sender. . .specific to your instrument maker

Does the Inno sender look different?

I have a 295 head that came off an Inno.

I kind of wanted to avoid pulling the gauge and sending it in.

It's running at normal temperature however after running 5 minutes with the new sender the gauge will read full hot and i can still pop the radiator cap and the water is just warm.

Have you validated that you're not actually running hot?

Or perhaps you could have the gauge re-calibrated.  Nissonger, Speedograph Richfield or Speedy Cables could probably do it.

Are you a member of the Innocenti group on Facebook ?

https://www.facebook.com/groups/115357735156943/

They might be able to help find you one.

What I've had to do in the past is use one that's available (like your MM sender), use a dial-a-resistor (variable resistor) change the resistance till you get the correct reading on the gauge, find the value, select the correct resistor and solder or install between the sender and the gauge.

Not ideal, but a viable solution.

I have searched everywhere for a temperature sender that will work with the original gauge.  Every one I have bought from minimania reads high and im just curious if it has something to do with the resistance of the gauge.  If anyone has any leads to where I can find one please let me know since mine is on its last leg.  Thanks!
