Ahhh.  But the Mini is Special.  It has a blue polka dot.  Only special things on the show get to be in blue.

Agreed.  Even the Isetta 600 has no "nose" on it.  Definitely looks like some version of the Fiat 500, but not one I've seen before...  Glad the show has a good fan base here!  I was NOT happy that the stereotype was being promoted with the Mini, though.  Shame, shame on them and whomever loaned them their Mini!

For anyone wanting to see the episode it is now on www.abc.com/player you can fast forward to 20:30 to get to the first instance of them pulling the clowns and car out of the water. The other reference and visual is at 37 minutes in. I think all Minis should have a propeller on the roof

It looked to me that there were two Minis and possibly an Isetta in the "chase" scene where the girl who was following the clowns was being followed by acrobat. Did anyone else catch that or was I just seeing things?

You can watch the episode on abc.com/player. I think the scene where you see all the clowns go by on stretchers is about a 1/3 of the way in and the above chase scene is about 3/4 of the way in.

ABC does replay the program in it's entirety after it has played. It usually takes a few days for them to post it on their website.

Go drive a mini

Of course clowns had to be involved with the mini. The main car used is a nice brown Inno 1001 and it has a stunt double that was not too nice to be sent to a watery grave.

Stunt car was a MKIV, drum brake car with the power unit, fuel tank, and all hydrolic fluid removed. Non matching interior was to be painted to match, dummy fuel neck added for gas cap. The show had just one day to prep the stunt car for filming in early June as the car that had been previoulsy aquired could not be ready for use when needed.

15 clowns (one with 6ft stilts) were pulled out of a classic Mini that was pulled out of a lake tonight on Pushing Daisies. Too funny.
