Yeah, having just done a pre-Verto slave and hose replacement, along with kitting the Master, I was hoping someone would clear this up. I was beginning to wonder just what I was missing....

Hmmm, I am now healing up from my excursion into the removal of a pre verto slave. I honestly believe someone should put a bit of thought into parts when remanufacturing them, An extra few inches of flexi would really make life a bit easier. I ended up taking off the breather, air cleaner and horn (mounted to the inner wing) and still had a hell of a time doing the job. I took off the plate it was mounted on as I could not reach the back bolt on the slave itself. Anyway, I did the whole job and all was fine until I realized I did not swing the banjo bolt in the right direction so the flexi was a bit tight, Thus I took off the slave cyl and adjusted the banjo. My dilemma is now this. I have the slave off the metal plate and don't really want to take that off again, I don't see a chance of getting the back bolt in....my thoughts are to loosen the dog bone (upper) and maybe gain a bit of engine movement to get that bolt in, Any one else? I have plenty of tools and actually thought a short square bar that fit into the socket (that fits on the bolt fine) would be the best way as I could use a box wrench on it but I don't have any square bar stock, Once you put a flexi coupling and extension on it makes it a bit unweildy.
Peter No more cars left, Westpaminis is now just a memory, Good luck to all those hard working dealers left out there, We can tell you its not easy. We have fully enjoyed meeting all the fine folks we have in the business.
