The cost of everything seems to be skyrocketing. When you look at UK sites for parts they SEEM cheaper, but when you double their price for the dollar to pound valuation and add overseas shipping it is about the same. Add carry costs that our host has to stock parts and I guess you have to be glad there is even someone there to service our hobby. As a past Triumph owner, the same basic thing happens with prices on those parts.

Home/Lowes where I buy my trees (on a quest to plant 25 assorted trees on my property) have not stocked trees/flowers in about a month. Why I asked the Guy? High cost of Gas, delivery drivers are complaining of cost. It is a major and interesting trickle down effect.

did you ever consider that this "free" message board has to be paid for ???? since message board users pay nothing for the privilege of using it, the cost must be made up elsewhere.

I work for a large timber sales co. The volume of co's going out of business overnight and also losing credit limits is downright scary. We lost three major clients credit limits on Friday. These (and not all are like this) are longtime customers with hefty spending budgets who don't miss payments or otherwise mess us about. the credit insurance co's are getting quite nervous. I think its typical of the whole mess we are in. No one wants to get caught holding the ball. I know of one large co that had a subsidiary that took its name off about 2 months before going under. Just one of its creditors got taken for 200k Pounds. Scary stuff when the parent co keeps chugging along like nothing happened. peter No more cars left, Westpaminis is now just a memory, Good luck to all those hard working dealers left out there, We can tell you its not easy. We have fully enjoyed meeting all the fine folks we have in the business.

Don't forget the crash of the dollar over the last year or so. It's coming back a little (very little) but that's one of the real reason's behind the increase in the price of oil and everything else.

Most price increases on any product are usually related to cost of manufacturing and transporting. The cost of fuel has gone up so the truck driver needs to increase his rates to haul in turn the price for goods goes up. If what your planing on buying is in any way made with petroleum products then as the cost of oil goes up so will the price on the finished product. It's not fair and it sucks but until they find a replacment for good old oil, prices on everything are going to continue to climb. Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright till you hear them speak.
