    This is a modern solution for the premature failure of the primary gear seal! As we all know the seal is intended to keep the engine oil from getting to the clutch. But the opposite problem also happens in that the dust from the clutch disc also attacks the rubber seal causing premature failure. This simple hard plastic seal slips onto the gear after the seal and keeps the dust out!
