    KEY CRANKSHAFT
     
    The front pulley on the BMC engine is located onto the crankshaft with this very small key. While most of the time this is very tight in the crank and thus is taken for granted it should be noted that they do take a lot of abuse and thus should be checked for both a tight fit and the edges are not wearing. When a dampner comes lose it can cause a lot of damage!
