    Too many of us ignore the clutch backplate when working on the Mini's clutch, and if we do take it to the machine shop they'll frequently machine it incorrectly! Why not do it right & replace the backplate with brand new? 5.88 pounds.
    The height of the legs to the friction surface of the back plate is approx. 24.6mm. When this height is wrong, you will typically find that your clutch will either slip or wear out too fast!
