BRAKE CALIPER BUSHING STIFFENING KIT - MINI COOPER AND S

This kit improves brake feel by eliminating caliper twisting caused by the stock rubber guide pin bushings. This kit includes precision guide pins and machined brass guide bushings for both the front and rear brakes. The kit allows your calipers to squeeze evenly on both sides of the brake rotor, just like expensive multi-piston big brake kits. This will result in longer pad life and more consistent brake system feel. These are a must if you race your BMW.

If you want to upgrade your Cooper brakes with the larger Cooper S rotors, you will need these brackets to re-align the calipers with the larger rotors. Right side and Left side sold Individually.

REAR BRAKE CALIPER RETRACTION TOOL - MINI COOPER AND S

When replacing the rear brake pads of both the MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S, it is necessary to retract the piston in the caliper to make room for the new pads. The piston in the rear caliper on the MINI needs to be 'rotated' as it is retracted - which is easily accomplished with this special MINI (BMW) factory tool. This tool ensures the right amount of turn as the piston gets retracted.

If one pad seems to wear faster than the other, it is possible the guide bushing is sticking. It's also a good idea to replace these bushings when overhauling the brakes. It's an inexpensive piece that shouldn't be ignored!
Sold EACH, 2 required per caliper - fits front and rears.
Fits 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and R53 MINI Cooper S, and 2005-2008 R52 MINI Convertible Cooper and Cooper S.
