This Stage 2 Performance Clutch Kit for 2002-2004 R53 MINI Cooper S is a perfect upgrade for the Cooper S with some performance modifications and used in an occasional autocross or 'driver education' events.
Features pure segmented kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the Stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. Best for street, drag, pulling and autocross.
Spec High Clamp Load Pressure Plates are standard with all performance kits. These plates can feature clamp loads from 20%-40% higher than original equipment and have a very reasonable pedal requirement. The exclusive 360 degree pivot technology assures a perfectly even lift and disc clamp, maximized leverage, more consistent clamp load and minimized wear.
This kit includes a high clamp pressure plate, a solid hub segmented chatter-free Kevlar disc, bearings and a tool.
The NMG1601L lightweight option is available for this kit.
NOTE: Flywheel must be resurfaced or replaced in order to maintain product warranty.
