The stock MINI brakes works very well for most daily street driving, but under extreme conditions they can overheat and introduce brake fade (which extends stopping distances). We've never heard of a Brembo equipped MINI experience ANY brake fade, on the street or the track!

The Gran Turismo system's level of technology and performance is unrivaled by any other product on the market. This kit is dedicated to the most demanding MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S owner with increased brake torque and thermal capacity, dramatically improving the vehicles performance.

Brembo GT Kits work with the stock master cylinder and it doesn’t affect the ABS or any traction control systems. The 4-Piston Calipers come in Black, Red or Silver and have proven themselves on tracks with performance and durability. High Performance Brake Pads included with the kit are suited for high end street use as well as limited track application. Brembo engineering produces Zero-Off-Pedal Drag on rotors from pads. The Billet Aluminum Bells with Brembo “Float” bushings allow the disc to seek its true centerline for consistent braking performance. Floating Disc design reduces heat and stress transfer to wheel bearings and hubs. The 2-Pc Rotor Assemblies also reduce the un-sprung weight (approximately 5 pounds per corner) for better handling, quicker response and better acceleration.

Compatible with 2007 - 2008 R56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hardtop models and the R55 MINI Cooper and Cooper S CLUBMAN.

The Big Brake System consists of a two-piece 328 x 28mm vented and cross-drilled racing rotor with a 4 piston high performance caliper. The 2-piece rotor system employs an aluminum hat creating a 'floating disc" which reduces heat related stress and improves brake performance and pedal feel of your MINI Cooper. Pads are street / track pads suitable for street or occasional light track duty.

The kit includes all hardware to convert the front brakes, available in black, red, or silver calipers for both the MINI Cooper and the MINI Cooper S.

Proper 'Bed-In' procedure must be followed for proper brake performance. Minimum 17 inch aftermarket wheels with adequate caliper clearance required. Check caliper clearance before ordering.

We recommend ATE Super Blue brake fluid with this kit. ATE® Super Blue DOT 4 Racing Brake fluid is an ideal choice for handling the high demands placed on your MINI's brake system, regardless of whether you are involved in autocross, road racing or high performance street driving.

ATE® Super Blue has a dry boiling point of 536F and a wet boiling point of 396F which far exceeds standard brake fluids meeting the DOT 4 requirements. This fluid is NOT SILICONE and is compatible with conventional brake fluid. 100% synthetic fluid is specifically designed to resist the high temperatures of racing brakes and yet very suitable for daily driving.

NOTE:

BEFORE ORDERING, check the Brembo Template for wheel fitment - add 3mm of tolerance around the caliper for actual wheel fitment.
