As it turned out, our little town's Soapbox Derby has generated huge interest! 
So much that there had to be a lottery to limit the field to 42 entries to be able to
complete the event, even on the longest days of summer.

But the big news is WE'RE IN!
 

At the drawing to enter the race, there were many out-of-towners who heard about our little event, including a couple who's family started Soap-box racing in the 1950s. Later they admitted that now they run an INDY team! The soapbox derby is for adults and allows for the ultimate in creativity and fun. There will be some serious competition and we really have to put our MINI minds to work on this.
