When changing the oil in your MINI Cooper or Cooper S, the factory recommends that you replace the sealing washer. Since the sealing washer is part of the drain plug, here is a new drain plug with the sealing washer. (Plug and washer not available separately.)
Fits 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and R53 MINI Cooper S. Also fits 2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertibles.
Does NOT fit 2007+ R56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S, and does NOT fit the R55 MINI CLUBMANS.
Remember to use full synthetic motor oil. MINI recommends 5W-40 or 5W-30 FULL SYNTHETIC motor oil.
Torque the drain plug to 18 ft-lb.
