The second generation brake and clutch master cylinder as used on the Sprites and Midgets was still in the single cast iron master but only differed in that the bore size was decreased to 3/4" to be used with the disc brakes then put on the front of the car. The 3/4" pushes less fluid to offset the bigger caliper pistons. When the rubber in them goes bad it is a good idea to replace it before the rust, etc. and then have to replace the entire cylinder for big bucks!
