X2 on Big Al and PACE and, of course, BABE. thanks for that memory share, Alex

But, now for something completely different: (haha) see the 1975 1275 GT on BAT right now. Sold into the Swedish Market, with provenance, pretty cool car. Perhaps many folks preferred Clubman, except for those who are more into LWB and how the squared lines seem to lend themselves to the Estate and Van Clubbies.... See the freshly advertised CE Wagon with VTec mods in the Cars for Sale section here. MSH

"...Cheribourg hotel at MME in 2003...."

I was there in 03 ! (but not at the moment PACE/BABE was created.)

The first Mini I ever drove was a baby-p00p green Clubman auto Al threw me the keys to and told me to go for a spin.

Long live the memory of Big Al.

To do it properly is expensive and time consuming as you need to change the inner wings.

To do a quick-n-dirty is just wings, bonnet, front panel, & brace bars to replace the inner wings.

PACE (BABE) was created in the back parking lot behind the Cheribourg hotel at MME in 2003.

Al supplied the name/acronym, I supplied the words.  BABE (Booted ain't bad either) often gets forgotten as his love for the Clubman was greaterthan mine for the Elf/Hornet.

Just cut everything in front of the firewall off and fit your new front end of choice....

Inner and outer guards, bonnet, front panel. Easy?? anything is possible...

Cheers, Ian

Greetings..Ive been out of the mini world for a minute. Can someone remind me if a clubman front can "easily" be changed to a regular saloon grille/whatever else?
