Hang on to the part until you (or a service tech) discovers where it is missing. In the end, it may not even belong to your car, but was tossed in by the car wash guys.

Put a tape measure next to that: not that I would[ know as I only deal with classic minis but that would help someone

that goes to the inner lower left of the front passenger, that's a cover for the CPU.
