Prefer not to post photos of someone else's mini. I have not bought it but it is listed in the Classic Mini Coopers section of Mini Mania's Cars for Sale. Gray exterior with red/black seats.

mini mover..  $2750 is NOT bad to cross the border now with a car..  as the carrier/ transporter has to carry so much MORE insurance and as we BOTH know you have to have ACE and SCAC to cross being commercial importer as we both are now..   figure DOUBLE to  just cross the border.. as you know CBP US CUSTOMS is out of control now.. remember when  I had to get a  letter from NHTSA to just import a RHD mini few years ago..  later bc  www.montecarlomini.com

Big Al,

Not sure what you all mean in your last comments. Have the EPA Form 3520-1 and Form HS-7. The transport costs may kill the project. Will call you later but any more info that you can add to your reply will help me to do followup. Checked uShip and only got 2 quotes with lowest being $2750....too much to even consider bringing in from Canada. Trip from distance is 1900 miles one way.

Seller said it is titled 1987. I will follow up on your suggestions. Starting to look like more paperwork & added cost...if I lived closer to seller, would work much better. Using shortest route, still 1900 miles, Portal, ND would seem to be logical spot to cross the border.

hi riverbend..  are you sure the mini is REALLY 25 years and older.??. post some photos.please.  I use www.bkktransport.com   but MOST truckers will NOT cross into canada or mexico..  because you must have SCAC, ACE and TWIC..  now.  best to seller to ship to border and then go pick it up.. mini mover is the expert on canada crossing.. I have NOT done one in few years..  I only import and export out east coast USA..  I would pay the money and get a  CPB US CUSTOMS broker..    what port of entry are you going to use?? and I can recommend a Customs broker for you.. later bc   www.montecarlomini.com

Looking at a classic mini (over 25 years old) in Canada. Would appreciate any advice on the process to get it across the border (I live in southern Indiana) to USA and how I can do it remotely. Also anyone have a name of a transporter that could help me in the haul to Indiana plus someone I could get to help/pay on moving the car across the border. One way trip is 1900 miles.
