A/C in the 998s does have an effect on the power that can be felt easily. They still are driveable. It just depends upon whether the trade off is felt necessary.

We support your decision to pull the a/c out of your mini.  thumbs up!!

The truth is, some people simply just don't want others to enjoy themselves inside an air-conditioned mini WHILE they sweat their b*lls inside a rusty mini without a/c.,, that's the reason why others discourage others to have a/c installed on their minis.

Wrong again special boy just spewing more bs from your mouth.

I have One complete AC system out of an Mpi, and a Spare Compressor, Blower Motor, and Condensor out of an Spi. They were in working order when removed from the original cars
Both these setups are currently with a friend in South Miami.  Any decent offer for all, or parts thereoff, would be entertained. Jim

That last post by the troll Robster/Tony/Specialist was completely wrong. I do not understand what motivates him to write about things that he knows nothing about; and while that is disturbing the greater problem is the likelihood that his posts will effectively misinform people.

I just returned from the bank. I had driven there in my 1300 spi automatic with the air conditioning on. It is a fast mini.

Hi-So I pulled the A/C out of my 1989 Japanese Mini, now it is time to get it out of the garage.  I do not know much about it.  It was down on refrigerant pressure so blew a lot of air but was not very cold.  I took it out carefully and have lots of pictures.   What do you think it is worth?  It is the under dash model out of a right hand drive car.

Thanks-  Darn the engine compartment is a lot easier to work on now.
