I have used that kind of battery cut off switch but i tool it off,  i dint like it because it turns off when i drive to rough road, the road vibration triggers the mechanism inside  the switch to turn to off position. I might have bought a bad switch but who knows......

and also instead of installing a cut off switch why not address the issue? Look for the reason why the battery is draining  ??,

Most of the hotrod places like Summit have switches like Willie_B suggested or the real simple disconnect type terminals for short money. If you use the car a lot the switch type is easier, terminal type requires opening and closing the boot just to get going.

The easiest one would be like this. You could install it from under the car so it comes up just by the shift hump. Reach down to turn off/on. Call battery cut-off switch. You can remove the key for theft deterrent. There are similar ones that mount at the battery.

So ive been having some trouble with my mini. its a 1988 red hot  austin mini, and theres a part that is constantly on, even when the car is fully turned off, so this drains the battery. I've decided its best to just find a quick release that can turn the battery on and off when needed. How would i set this up? any tips would be great
