Great question about the intercooler. Reducing intake temperatures is always a good thing, especially if you live in a warmer climate area.
It is also very appropriate if you install the power module since the Power Module increases boost, which will elevate the intake temperatures. The intercooler upgrade may not be 'necessary' - but it will reduce long term stresses on the engine from increased combustion temperatures, not to mention retaining horsepower that you would normally lose from the elevated intake temperatures. Cooler intake charge packs more O2 molecules which means stronger combustion. The net result is more hp to the wheels!
Springs from the R56 are not appropriate for the F56.
