Good info.
But one question: on page 3 it says to test the armature using a 15W-110V bulb and a 110V power source... is that right for a 12V motor component?

Norm: that looks like a great resource, but it is not the one that I recall.
I may have to try to find a copy of that.

are these what you are looking for?

From Rick Astley's excellent, "Classic British Car Electrical Systems".

It would take a strong, strong man (to ever let you go )

Terry, I've had a couple of them apart, and found a good diagram somewhere. Now to find it again. I'll scan and post.

I found a page in the 92-96 workshop manual. I made a PDF, but can't link it directly. I think the older manual had a better diagram.

A few years ago someone shared a document with diagrams of the wiper motor assembly. I am working on another motor and I cannot find a saved copy of that document. I tried searching, but nothing comes up.

It had diagrams of the brushes and the gear assembly. I believe it came from a BMC workshop manual, but I have hard copies and digital versions and it is not in the ones I have.

Anyone else have something with this? One of the hings I am looking for is the orientation of the belleville washer under the gear.
