Hello, It's been a while. Hope you are doing well. I know you don't want to sell the licence plate I was looking for, but it would be great if you can take a picture of it and what ever else you might have relating to it. Take care.

Hello Larry, I Haven't heard from you in a while. Did you ever find and paperwork on the moke with plate wxr 276 ? Still curious what has happened to the Moke and any history on it. Last I heard you were going to look for the plate and any paperwork and to see if you still had the Moke. Hope to hear from you. Thanks.

I sold my restored Catalina Island Moke, a 1968, a few years ago. Forgot what license plate number that had.
I still have a 1967 Catalina Island Moke. Restoration has not progressed much but have all the panels for it. That interestingly has plate number WXR 296.

I believe the previous owner had the decal, Catalina Island Patrol , placed onthe yellow moke, when l had it painted yellow, l left the decal-on there
it came to me with only 3 of the original U K seats

Don't see a blue moke on your profile. I see a white one but picture is really small to tell.
Are you interested in selling it? Let me know.

Why does it say"Catalina Island Patrol" on it? Was this for lifeguards, Island Police?
I have never seen one like this on the island.

I used to see the moke rental cars all around Catalina in the early 1970's.This one has been redone nicely.
What is the purpose of the emblem on the hood that says " Catalina Island Patrol" ? Don't remember seeing cars with that emblem on it.

Get all your photos and stuff together for both stories and I'll come down with a tape recorder and we'll get it all written down.

I have recently received a load of OZ Californian Moke take offs. 13 inch wheels and tires a heater rubber spats and
mud flaps. Dash speedo check with me if any of this is interesting.
Why don't you just retain someone to build you the Moke of your dreams? Steve (CTR)

The equivalent to Catalina Island is Magnetic Island in Australia. The spousal unit and I were there a few years ago and we rented a Moke. The owner of the B&B we stayed in was maintaining them which he said was not easy. I told the rental agency to contact me if they were disposing of them ... but never heard back. At the time there were about 1/2 dozen Mokes on Magnetic Island. We saw a few other Mokes on the highway and streets in our 16K trip around 1/2 of Australia.

Larry, It appears to be a mint green Moke with rental #47 on the windshield.
