I now have a floor and reinforced mountings for the sub-frame. We will see when we flip it over and put sub frames on it how straight he kept it. I ordered new bushings and nuckles. Waiting on their 14,000 mile journey to get here.

Not to criticize your body guy's technique, but how is he going to keep the body straight while welding in the new floor? I don't see any bracing or, well, anything. Looks like he just opened a big can of worms. I hope the doors still fit when he's done. Good luck!

I finally got something going in the body shop. Today they cut out the old floor to prepare for the Toyota minivan floor, and started cutting out the mangled front sub-frame.

I don't think they're pressed fit, they are simply placed in the trumpet. I believe they're supposed to move freely, but with the passage of time they become corroded and stuck in place. To remove the knuckle joint from the trumpet, I hold the assembly upright in a vice and squirt Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster into the unit. After letting it sit for a couple of days I use a rod to tap it out. On reassembly, I use a little bit of anti-sieze on the shaft of the knuckle joint.

They just press fit in there should be no threads on them.

It is snapped off in there. I didn't realize I could just change the joint. Are there supposed to be bolts at the other end? I see threads, but there were no bolts on either of them.

This is the knuckle joint that is broken. You will probably find the plastic cup end still stuck in the hole on the arm.

Where is the trumpet broken?
In the picture all I can see is that one does not have the nuckle joint, but they are supposed to come off, they are super cheap and I would suggest you replace them both.

Still no progress to report at the body shop, although I keep thinking my daily visits will motivate him. I reminded him that it will soon be 1 year that he has the car. And the engine still hasn't gotten here from Chile.
Anyway, I finally got back to Tarija and have been spending some time with the Renault and the Mini.
I sandblasted the rear sub-frame and painted it, along with the brake hubs and drums. I see that one of the trumpets is broken, so I need to find someone traveling here to bring a set. Should I be upgrading to the Adjusta-ride?
A few more details on my site, as well as the Renault progress. I'll start assembling that one tomorrow afternoon.

The pictures in the other posts seem to have disappeared, but they are all on my site.
I finally got a chance to do a little (not as much as I would have liked, but business has been busy and I also bought a Renault Ondine that I have to pass inspection)
some of the parts arrived, I still haven't been able to get the sub-frame and engine from Chile, but here are my new brake parts
Also got my wood dash and some gauges, shocks, steering parts, wheels, etc. The full list is on my site.
Started with the rust patching and measuring for the fender flares
This piece came out of a Toyota minivan
That same minivan has a beautiful floor that will become much of my floor.
I pulled the rear sub-frame to wash and sand blast
Hoping to get back to Tarija in September to do a little more
